2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

Accounts  Maintenance

  • Manage the Accounts function and ┬á resources in an efficient manner.
  • Maintain complete and reliable accounting ┬á records and documentation in accordance with company┬á┬á polices, Generally Accepted ┬á Accounting Procedures (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards┬á┬á(IFRS).

Coordination   with Internal Auditors/GHQ Internal Controls function

To act as a central point of contact at the country for coordinating with the internal auditors and GHQ internal controls   team for addressing the queries raised, clarifications to be provided and   timely closure.

External   Audit, Statutory Returns, Information submission to various local authorities

  • Provide all the necessary clarification ┬á to the Central Bank and external auditors regarding branches and HO┬á departments (in coordination with GHQ Finance Team).
  • Prepare/review financial statements of ┬á the country and provide necessary clarifications to external auditors as and ┬á when required for smooth completion of the audits.
  • Support timely filing of returns/reports ┬á to various regulatory authorities (Ministry, Chamber of Commerce etc.)
  • Support timely filing of returns/reports ┬á to central bank of Bahrain.

Managing   the MIS Function

  • ┬á Preparation of periodical management ┬á reports on performance of branches, country.
  • ┬á Various regular/ad hoc MIS reports, Cost ┬á Benefit, Viability reports to the Management.
  • ┬á Review and monitor the performance of the ┬á Accounts function.
  • ┬á Ensure timely preparation of management ┬á accounts as stipulated by the management.
  • ┬á Prepare financial projections/business ┬á plans to support business expansion plans of the Company.

 

 

Training   to Accounts Personnel

Identify the training requirements of   accounts team and branch accountants, arrange for suitable training (both on   the job and external) to make the employee perform the job with expertise.

Adherence   to Company Policies and Procedures

Adherence to UAE company directives and   policies in the planning and execution of all activities (e.g., accounting,   internal control, AML, HR policies etc).

Support   ACPP (Annual Corporate Planning Process) and Manage Budget

  • ┬á Support GHQ MIS and Corporate planning team for preparation of annual budget of Bahrain Operations.
  • ┬á Reviews of Periodical variance report generated Analyse budget variances and provide reports to stakeholders for corrective actions.

Preparation   & updating of Accounting Manuals and Process Notes

Ensure preparation and periodical updating of accounting manuals.

Measure ┬á for cost ÔÇö reduction and effective cost management

To administer effective tools and measures for monitoring, controlling the operating cost at various branches and Departments.

Review   and Monitoring the Purchase Activity

  • ┬á In coordination with the Administration team, bring effective tools for streamlining the purchase activity.
  • ┬á Monitoring the activity to avoid pilferages and compliance to DOAM.

Efficient   management of working capital

  • ┬á Monitor the fund holding at the branches ┬á and ensure measure for timely identification and correction of excess holding of funds (in any form) at the branches.
  • ┬á Effective measures to reduce the TAT for transmitting the funds to GHQ Dealing.

Team   Management

  • ┬á Delegate and monitor Accounts function goals, objectives and programs.
  • ┬À Lead, Motivate and manage employees to maintain consistent high performance standards and efficiency and conduct performance appraisal of subordinate employees on a periodical basis.
3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE,   & SKILLS:
  • ┬á Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • ┬á Relevant professional qualifications (like CA, ACCA).
  • ┬á Analytical and good inter-personal skills.
  • ┬á Computer literate and user level exposure to ERP / Accounting packages;Proficiency in English.
  • ┬á 4-5 years of accounting experience with minimum one year post qualification experience in a supervisory position in accounting.
  • ┬á Possess good communication skills.
  • ┬á Leadership and interpersonal skills of a ┬á high order.
  • ┬á Good Negotiation skills.
